Blessing of the Animals

Inspired by the example of St. Francis of Assisi, Dr. Hayes regularly conducts annual Blessing of the Animals services throughout South Carolina.

These celebrations recognize God's care for all creation while inviting families and communities to bring their beloved animals for prayer and blessing.

The featured photographs were taken during the annual Blessing of the Animals at The Church of the Advent in Marion, South Carolina, where Dr. Hayes has faithfully served for many years.
